SOUL - FUNK - BOOGIE - MODERN JAZZ
‍

Wellington-based soul singer-songwriter Romi Wrights, the artist project of Lisa Wright.

When Romi Wrights sings, she transports listeners back to the golden days of jazz, soul and funk, weaving incandescent melodies and singalong hooks through stirring stories of love, loss, and the confusion that lies in between.

Since 2021, the Aotearoa New Zealand-based singer-songwriter has been recording and performing lush, orchestrally tinged music between Te Whanganui-a-tara and Tāmaki Makaurau, while collaborating with Mānuka Recordings co-founder Kenny Sterling, members of Clear Path Ensemble, Leao, The Circling Sun, and her own family and friends.

After opening for Lee Fields & The Expressions, Kokoroko, appearing at festivals including The Others Way and Cuba Dupa, Splore, Single Fin Mingle, and releasing several singles, ‘Bring It Back/Without You’, ‘Capsized’ and ‘Shine Your Light’, Wrights shared her debut album “ANDY” in July 2026.
