Banished Music are ecstatic to announce the return of one of Aotearoa’s all-time favourite bands, with Fur Patrol returning to the stage for a very special run of shows in March 2026, their first tour since 2024.

From the moment their debut EP Starlifter landed in 1998 until their swansong album Local Kid arrived in 2008, Pōneke’s Fur Patrol carved out an unforgettable legacy in Aotearoa music. Their debut album Pet dominated the New Zealand Albums Chart for an astonishing thirty weeks, while the era-defining single Lydia famously knocked Destiny’s Child off the number one spot. Across three albums, two EPs and hundreds of live shows, Fur Patrol earned a reputation as one of the country’s most formidable and unmissable live acts.

Now, ahead of this year’s Homegrown Festival, Julia Deans (guitar, vocals), Andrew Bain (bass), and Simon Braxton (drums) are hitting the road once more, joined by longtime collaborator and Pet producer David Long (The Mutton Birds). David brings his inimitable guitar wizardry to weave rich sonic layers through the trio’s unmistakable foundation.

Anyone who’s caught Fur Patrol live in recent years will attest they’ve lost none of their potency, power, or energy. These shows promise a celebration of a timeless catalogue, packed with beloved anthems and delivered with the same fire that made the band legendary.

Don’t miss your chance to see one of Aotearoa’s most beloved bands return to the stage this March.
