Aotearoa’s very own Queen of Disco, Lou’ana, has today released her highly-anticipated sophomore album, aptly titled DISCO WITCH, alongside a corresponding New Zealand tour for March 2026 to celebrate.
Rooted in nu-disco, soul, and funk, Lou’ana weaves nostalgic grooves with her own stories, creating music that moves through dance, liberation, and personal healing.
Earlier this year, Lou’ana revealed ‘side b’ of the album, by way of the five-track SO BELOW EP. Now she completes the full picture with ‘side a’, AS ABOVE.
Combined, both sides make up the 10-track album, DISCO WITCH; the contrast between the two, showing the care and thoughtfulness behind the songwriting and production. Every arrangement, sound, and lyric has been shaped with intention, creating a body of work that feels immersive, soulful, and cinematic while staying true to the essence of Lou’ana’s magnetic and mystical DISCO WITCH world.
“It takes the listener on a journey through light and shadow; heart and groove, with each song revealing a different layer of transformation and self-expression,” says Lou’ana.
DISCO WITCH includes fan favourite tracks like ‘Disco Coven’, ‘My World’ and ‘Heartbeat’, as well as the title track, which serves as the album’s focus single.
