SATURDAY 06 JUNE, BIG FAN
Mazbou Q brings his explosive headline show Show Up, Show Out to Big Fan, Auckland on June 6. Backed by a full live band, he delivers a raw, commanding performance shaped by his roots in punk and metal, colliding with the rhythmic complexity and lyrical precision of his Hip Hop practice.
Joined by emerging artists and rappers EYEJAY and TIDA, the show spotlights a new wave of talent alongside Mazbou Q’s boundary-pushing approach.
The show arrives off the back of a landmark run across the Netherlands, where Mazbou Q delivered workshops, performances, and a keynote at a major European Hip Hop studies conference, cementing his role as a bridge between the technical study of rap and its lived, cultural expression.
Recent notable releases “Survived” and “If E Dey Go” mark a clear evolution in Mazbou Q’s artistry and a deliberate move toward carving out his own lane and pursuing a more uncompromising expression of identity and authenticity.
His impact has also been recognised with a Silver Scroll Award finalist nomination for “TORQUE” from the 2025 album “RAP SCIENCE.” Highlighting his continued impact as both a songwriter and creative force within Aotearoa’s music landscape.
